Notes: The transit lasted from about 3:06 pm to 7 pm. The sky had a cloud cover of about 50 percent. The four bitmap images were resized and assembled into one .bmp file of width 1600 in Mathematica with ImageAssemble, and then saved as a .jpeg file in Preview with minimal compression. Resizing to smaller bitmap sizes produces junky looking images. A solar filter that fits onto the front of the scope is necessary to prevent overheating and damage to the scope and camera.
